COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics) is committed to educating and supporting editors, publishers and those involved in publication ethics with the aim of moving the culture of publishing towards one where ethical practices become a normal part of the publishing culture. Our approach is firmly in the direction of influencing through education, resources and support of our members, alongside the fostering of professional debate in the wider community.

Volunteer with COPE
We are seeking applications to fill two vacancies on the Trustee Board as we look to expand the support we provide.
We are specifically looking for candidates:
- from outside the UK and the US, with a particular preference for those based in Africa, Asia or Latin America.
- who are journal editors or individual members.
- with a background in Books or Conference Proceedings, and/or in Life Sciences, Engineering or Computer Science.
- with expertise in UK law or in finance.
The candidate, or the organisation they represent, must have been an ordinary member of COPE for at least 1 year.
